Happy (almost) Halloween!
October 24th, 2005As a fan of the holiday, it’s sad to note that I will neither be in New York, nor in costume for Halloween. Maybe it’s for the best—last year Kaveri and I made elaborate “blue states for Kerry” costumes in the hope that we could somehow influence the election. We Didn’t.
But now that the Republicans are slowly sinking in the scandal-ridden muck, and with the ’06 elections looming around the corner, perhaps it’s time we revisit those carefree days when it looked like Bush might get kicked out of the White House…

I told you this in person, but I love what a great job you guys did on those costumes last year.

dude, those costumes were 100% your doing. i was happy to serve as a model.
not only topical, but i think more elegant and fun than those “scooter and turd blossom in black and white pyjamas” costumes you’re sewing us for this year….

coining “Turd Blossom” was Bush’s only stroke of genius. An actual “Turd Blossom” (is there such a thing?) would be an interesting costume…

I think a turd blossom is something like the Outback Steakhouse’s Bloomin’ Onion.
